You can have the most rockin’ strategy for attracting clients, but if the energy behind it sucks, it’s automatically gonna have a ceiling on how many clients say “yes.”

You’ll second-guess what you’re saying. Wonder if anyone wants what you’re selling. And the negative thoughts spin out from there.

Not exactly magnetic energy, right?

The energy behind a client waitlist starts with deciding that attracting clients can be FUN.

I know. Radical concept. 😜

Instead of choosing a client goal based on what seems reasonable, feel into what would be exciting.

How many clients would make you ridiculously happy?

And more importantly… why would it make you happy?

Maybe you’d love the energy of serving a full group. Maybe you want to break your own record. Or maybe serving those clients would allow you to create something you’ve been dreaming about.

Find the juice in the why.

When attracting clients becomes a have-to, you’ll naturally resist it. When there’s a juicy desire behind it, you’ll want to play.

Then turn your attention away from the masses and toward the people who matter: your 5-Star Clients.

These are the people who are wired to want what you do and adore the way you serve it up.

You don’t need everyone to understand you.

Your 5-Star Clients do.

Imagine what would happen if every time you wrote an email, created a product, decided what to charge, or thought about attracting clients, you connected with them first.

Not with their fears or objections. But energetically, with their highest selves.

I often close my eyes, take a few deep breaths, connect to the energy of my 5-Star Clients and ask myself:

What’s the most important thing for me to focus on right now?

Sometimes a new idea drops in. Other times I just feel peaceful and trust that whatever I do (or don’t do) will attract clients.

The point isn’t to force an answer to come through. It’s to connect to the bigger picture and come from a place of love and inspiration.

Your brain can come up with 4,782 reasons someone might not hire or buy from you. But none of them will be true if they’re coming from your worried little mind.

Your 5-Star Clients aren’t sitting around energetically critiquing you. They already see your value.

Which brings us to another huge piece of the client attraction puzzle: Do you see and trust the value you provide?

You bring something to your work that nobody else can duplicate.

It might be your perspective or experience. Maybe it’s humor or quirkiness. The way you simplify complicated things. Your ability to see what someone else can’t see for themselves.

That special sauce is infused into everything you create.

Quickie exercise: Write down five things that make the way you serve your clients uniquely yours.

That right there is your gold. And you need to own the awesomeness of it.

I used to give my clients random journal prompts. Then they started requesting them. I didn’t realize how valuable they were to my clients before then, and I began sharing them more (including in my weekly newsletter).

When you question your value, worry about what people can afford, or wonder whether anyone will say yes, you bring that energy into everything you do.

There’s a much more powerful place to operate from.

Imagine you’ve already had the kind of year you dream about. You’ve served incredible clients and have evidence they value your work. Your business is thriving.

How would you approach a potential client from there?

You’d probably be much less concerned about whether they hire you or not. You’d show up online or in person focused on giving value. You’d make bold moves without analyzing what potential clients would think.

You’d focus on what they want and tell them what you truly think would support them.

You’d be generous without having a hidden agenda about wanting something in return.

That’s a big client attraction secret: Make serving the person in front of you more important than making the sale.

Your job is to clearly communicate what you’ve created and why you believe it can support them. Then let them decide with no attachment to the sale.

There’s huge freedom in operating this way.

For the next week, experiment with your approach to client attraction.

Before you get into action, use these as journal prompts:

How easy can I make this?

How much fun can I have with this?

How can I infuse more love into this?

And if something feels like pure pressure, pause. There are infinite ways to attract clients.

Choose the ones that light you up.

Connect with the people you most want to serve. Trust the value you bring. Let your desire lead instead of your fear.

That’s the energy behind a client waitlist.
