Each morning begins with grand visions of being able to cross off as many of your most important action items as possible by the day’s end. But by noon you think that if you’re able to accomplish one more thing from the list it’ll be a miracle.

So many tasks, so little time.

There are several strategies for accomplishing more in less time. But there’s something that needs to happen first.

You need to take off your boxing gloves and stop fighting with the belief that you need to get it all done in order to have a successful business.

Your business produces results based on your thoughts. If you think that your results are based on the quantity of actions you take, then you only attract clients and money when you’ve taken massive action.

If you feel frustrated or guilty about all the actions you did not accomplish, you’re doomed. You feel bad and you won’t produce your desired outcomes.

One of the best things a business owner can do to boost profits and enjoy the day-to-day operations is to make peace with their task list. It doesn’t matter what actually gets done, what matters is how you feel about what you did or didn’t do.

An interesting phenomenon that happens when you make peace with your to-do list is that usually more gets done. Because once you release the pressure of having to get it done, you’re more at ease. You’ll find yourself flowing from one inspired action to the next.

Then, boom! New customers and clients start knocking on your door because you’re in a flow state.

As I write this, I have a new launch I’m rolling out. I wanted to market something else last week, but I just didn’t want to grind out the marketing… so I let it go.

I’d really like to let people know about the other offer, yet it’ll have to wait.

In the past, I would’ve stayed up until midnight working to make it happen and given up time on the lake. I would’ve done it while feeling frantic through the whole process.

Now I know better.

I’ll get to it in perfect timing. I trust that I’ll make up the lost revenue at a later date. In fact, I’ll attract more sales because I’ll be able to give 100% of my attention to the offer.

My vibe will be joyful, and I’ll be tapped into my Inner Business Expert.

When you make peace with all that you do and all that doesn’t get done, business is so much more enjoyable.

Task lists are supposed to provide inspiration, not frustration. Remember, the tortoise won the race with the hare because it was slow but steady. If you consistently take small steps to grow your business, infused with deliberate intentions, you’ll win success every time.

Accept that some days you’ll be able to check off a dozen things on your list, while other days nothing will get accomplished.

Be at peace no matter what to stay sane and profitable.
