Every entrepreneur hits a wall at some point. A launch tanks. A long-time client says goodbye. You slug through a slow streak.
And suddenly, your mojo is gone and you start thinking crappy thoughts like…
Maybe I lost it.
Maybe I’m not gonna recover.
I don’t know how to recover.
These thoughts are your warning center alerting you to redirect that energy into a commitment to thrive.
If you take a deeper look at your setback, it can reveal how to up level with clarity you hadn’t had before.
But you can’t treat your situation like it’s a failure… you gotta see it like fuel for your comeback. Phoenix rising, baby!
How to move from “What the hell just happened?” to “Watch me crush it.”
Step 1: Neutralize the Emotional Whiplash
Before you do anything, you’ve gotta refrain from going down the negative rabbit hole.
Most people try to fix things from their state of panic, which just manifests more chaos.
Instead:
- Pause.
- Breathe.
- Name exactly what happened, without catastrophizing.
Then just own up to it. This thing happened. It sucks. But it’s just data, not a death sentence.
Once you’re emotionally neutral, you’ll let go of the resistance to what is… and that’s when guidance can flow back in.
Psst… You can’t attract answers to your issues from the frequency of frustration. Peace opens you up to possibilities.
Step 2: Clean Up the Story
After every setback, your brain loves to create drama (at least mine does!):
- “I messed everything up.”
- “I’ll never recover.”
- “I can’t trust my intuition anymore.”
Those thoughts don’t describe what happened. They create what happens next.
Rewrite your story in real time:
“This is a redirection toward something more aligned.”
“I’m learning what doesn’t work, which means I’ll have clarity about what does.”
“I can’t mess this up; I’m going to have a great outcome.”
You can’t control circumstances, but you can absolutely command your vibration.
Step 3: Audit and Align
Time to be practical. Ask yourself:
- Where was I out of sync?
Was I forcing something that didn’t feel right? Saying yes to the wrong clients? Ignoring nudges from my Inner Business Expert? - What worked?
Acknowledge and appreciate the good stuff. In fact, double down on those. The more you notice what’s working, the more shizz works. - Where do I need to upgrade my systems, strategy, or support?
Setbacks often highlight gaps. Plug them with smarter structures, not more time or struggle.
The universe loves efficiency. When you align systems with good energy, progress is inevitable!
Step 4: Re-Calibrate Your Frequency
If you’re still holding onto guilt, disappointment, or fear of it happening again, it’ll cling to you like static. And it’ll muck up your comeback.
Use this quick reset:
- Write down three things that did go right in the chaos.
- Choose one word that represents your new vibe (ease, trust, certainty, joy).
- For 60 seconds, breathe and imagine your business thriving again. Your clients are happy, moola is flowing in, and you feel like a rockstar.
That 60-second shift recalibrates your point of attraction faster than a gazillion visibility moves.
Step 5: Make a Bold Move
Take one inspired action that feels expansive… but don’t do it from a place of obligation or desperation. You don’t need to figure a whole plan. Just a simple aligned move. Take back the reins of your happy ending.
Setbacks are a good thing. They strip away what’s not working for who you’re becoming.
Choose trust over fear, and take time to move into alignment with your big desire before you start running around like a desperate maniac.
So exhale, recalibrate, and get back in the game… not to survive, but to conjure your next level.
Cheers to thriving through the plot twists… and making your better-than-everrrr comeback!
