5 things to help attract clients to your business on Facebook:After gently nudging me to do a video via Facebook Live for weeks, Alina Vincent finally got me to do it. She’s brilliant at showing entrepreneurs how to easily get clients on Facebook without paying for ads. That’s why I asked her to share her brilliance with you here.
 

Here are 5 things you want to keep in mind as you are getting ready to attract clients to your business on Facebook:

1. Create Your Facebook Fan Page

Your Facebook fan page is the foundation for your business on Facebook. If you want to be taken seriously, you should definitely create a fan page. If you want your business to be found by search engines, you need your fan page.

Your Facebook page is the professional facade for your business on Facebook, so it should definitely be your first step in starting to use Facebook for business.

2. Make the Decision to Use Facebook for Business

The majority of business owners do understand they need to create a Facebook fan page in order to establish their presence on Facebook.

However, one of the common barriers that often holds entrepreneurs back from being successful on Facebook is the desire to keep their personal profile personal, and not accept friend requests from people they don’t know.

If you are one of them, you might be losing a lot of potential connections, because most of your potential clients would rather send you a friend request than try to find your fan page.

You don’t need to give up your privacy, however. You can still share certain posts just with your family and close friends simply by controlling the visibility of each post on your personal timeline.

3. Get Clear on Your Target Audience

To market successfully on any platform and using any method, you need to understand your target audience. It holds just as true for Facebook.

You must understand who your ideal customers are, what they do, what their struggles are, and what they are looking for. You need to understand their interests, challenges, desires, and fears.

The more narrow your niche and your focus is, the more you will stand out as an expert in the clients’ eyes. The more clear you are on who your ideal client is, the more success you will have with using Facebook for business.

4. Get Clear on Your Main Area of Expertise

You also need to be very clear on what you do, what your area of expertise is, and how you can help your ideal clients. You must know what problems you can solve with ease for your target audience.

If you don’t know what you are good at, nobody else will either.

5. Know What You Are Trying to Achieve

Before you start spending a ton of time on Facebook, decide how you are going to use Facebook for your business. Are you going to mainly use it to drive traffic to your website, to provide support for existing customers, to build long-term relationships with potential clients, or to sell your programs and services?

Different focuses will require a different approach, so make sure you are clear on how Facebook fits into your overall marketing strategy.

Once you complete the steps above, you will be well on your way to positioning yourself and your business on Facebook.

The 7 Mindsets of a Master of Enrollment

Because most people are trying to find their magic pill strategy to get new clients, I want to remind you of one critical error. Even the best strategy won’t work if your mindset stinks. So I asked Bill Baren (a dear friend and one of my mentors) to write an article for you on the mindset of client attraction. You’ll LOVE what he shared below!

The 7 Mindsets of a Master of EnrollmentKnowing what to say during a consultation is important, but even more important is who you are being and how you are connecting with people that you are speaking to. The following are 7 principles of being a Master of Enrollment:

 
1. Care about the person more than getting hired

When you’re focused on being an ally to your potential client getting to where they want to go, you will be perceived as an ally. But when you’re clinging to “getting a client,” your potential client will experience the energy of the consultation as manipulative or off-putting. Your practice is to think less about yourself and what’s in it for you (such as getting a client), and place much more attention on your potential client and really what’s in it for them.
 
2. Connection counts more than anything
 
The connection you have with your prospective client is much more important than anything else. So even if you make some mistakes during your consultation, you’ll be fine if you maintain a connection and rapport.
 
3. Acknowledge, Acknowledge, Acknowledge
 
Mirror back as much as you can to the person you’re speaking to, and show them fully that you’re excited for them to get to where they want to go. Be compassionate about their fears, pains and frustrations. Make sure to acknowledge your potential clients as much as you can. You want them to feel deeply seen, heard and understood. If you can create that experience, that in itself is a huge gift.

4. Be Curious
 
Your questions and curiosity for your potential client will be a breath of fresh air! Few people in their life will be as interested as you are. However, your potential clients will know the difference between genuine curiosity and fake curiosity just so you can gather information to get a client. So, it’s got to be genuine. 
 
5. Let go of force in the process
 
Once you start trying to convince, once you start changing somebody’s mind, the process breaks down. This happens when you’re trying to sell someone on your value. Instead, when you Establish the Gap really well, the rest of the pieces just fall into place with the right people. 
 
By the way, one reason the match may not be happening as frequently as you like is that your offering is not tapping into an urgent desire of your target market.
 
6. Be a matchmaker
 
It’s not about you getting the sale. It’s about exploring whether there’s a match between your potential client’s current genuine want and what you’re offering. When there’s a match, you can create magic together. And when there isn’t, it’s about you pointing your potential client in the right direction where they can find the match.
 
By the way, one reason the match may not be happening as frequently as you like is that your offering is not tapping into an urgent desire of your target market. 
 
7. Your Consultation is the ultimate act of service
 
It’s important for you to be in touch with how your potential client hiring you is actually part of being of service to them. Because chances are, your potential client has an urgent problem that they’ve been struggling with for a long time. And if they could have solved it on their own, they would have already done it.  So your service offerings may be just the thing they need. You are here to give them that extra inspiration to take the big step of going for what they really want.

Attract Clients with Little Marketing

 

As a business owner or sales person, your biggest challenge is attracting a steady flow of ideal clients. ‘Selling’ people on how great your products or services are can feel inauthentic and sometimes cheesy. The internet is full of experts and systems that tell you that their process will create a magical spell over your revenue.

Countless business owners get sucked into the marketing vortex. It spins your brain like a washing machine and then spits you out feeling frazzled. Trying to implement even a fraction of the marketing strategies that involve social media, doing follow up and giving away free information can suck up all of your time.

I’ve got a different strategy.

I call it the ‘energetic red carpet’ process. It’s not complicated, it involves none of your team members and it can be done anytime and anywhere. Best of all, it’s free!

I’ll take you through it right now.

1. Release the belief that you need to change your website, create opt-in pages, and have your elevator speech nailed down in order to attract an abundance of ideal clients, customers or patients.

2. Close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in and then fully exhale with a sigh. Repeat this step several times until you feel centered and your shoulders and face are relaxed.

3. Imagine your business has an enormous storefront in a highly visible area with lots of foot and car traffic. Now click on a huge neon sign that says ‘open’ in the window. Next, see yourself rolling out a red carpet from the front door to the street. You are energetically calling forth your most ideal target market… right to your front door.

4. Notice how you feel while you energetically let the world know that you are open for business. You’re not hunting them down or doing back flips to get their attention. You are simply welcoming them into your space. Imagine hugging them and offering them something wonderful to drink.

5. Focus your energy on how they will feel once they use your products or services. Then ask your Inner Business Expert (A.K.A. your inner guidance), “What is the next action I should take to allow my ideal target market to say YES to doing business with me?”

6. Follow whatever guidance you are given.

How was that for you? Could you feel a calmness replace the frenetic energy around attracting new clients?

I’m not against marketing at all. In fact, I geek out on it! And I want you to relate to it as something you do to feel good about your business not to get business. When you market or sell with a desperate need for money behind your actions, it doesn’t feel good to you or your prospective clients.

When you energetically roll out the red carpet, they’ll be lining up at your door saying, “How soon can we start? Where do I sign?”

How’d she pull that off?

She went for it like it was a matter of fact, that it should be a best seller. And it is! She laid out a simple and creative plan and took the steps to implement it.

She thought it through.

Recently my bestie posted a short video of a cooler (to keep food and beverages cold) on my Facebook page. The video led me to Kickstarter.com, a place where entrepreneurs seek funding for their projects. I immediately invested so I could get my very own Coolest Cooler.

Their goal was to raise $50,000. They inspired 62,642 people to give them $13,285,226. The most successful Kickstarter project ever!

How’d that happen?

It has a lot to do with the creator’s mindset. He said, “I invent lots of things, but honestly very few have brought so much fun to my life.”

Before it was even close to funded he had nailed down the CAD design, the manufacturers and showcased professional videos to show off his cooler. He went balls out planning his launch in a time frame that most people would say is impossible.

He played it like he meant it. And he did it!
