The ONE Next Step

If you’d like to get a big juicy project moving forward and have a great time doing it, today is your lucky day.

Your first step is to bring to mind that project that sits incomplete but nagging the corners of your mind daily. Or maybe it’s the project you know you should begin but it feels too hard, too big or that you’re not big enough for it.

In order to have this article mean more than a nice five minute break from your work, it’s better if you play this process (that I’m about to take you through) with a project that you feel emotional connection to (doesn’t matter if you feel positive or negative about it).

Got something in mind? Good.

Don’t Worry About the Details

DonGÇÖt Worry About the DetailsHave you ever got spun up trying to figure out the details of a project and found yourself stuck because some of the details simply didn’t present themselves? I have, and more than once. I’ve also ruined joyous vacation planning by wondering how to figure out everything before my arrival.

Sometimes the only way to get the details is to stop trying to figure out the details. Yep, you just have to be satisfied with knowing the general outcome you’d like to achieve or experience. The details will unveil themselves as you relax and move forward with the pieces of the puzzle that you already have in your possession.

Speaking from experience, this whole riddle about “attracting” the details can be quite painful unless you relinquish control. I have learned some powerful lessons about trying to control all the pieces of my business, my vacations and the relationships I hold most dear. Whenever I find myself forcing things to happen, nothing goes well. My body pays the price as well with tight muscles, colds, hives and a host of other temporary ailments.

The little Gremlin that lives inside of all of us will try to convince you that you are being responsible by paying attention to all of the details and making sure you follow through on everything you think is “right”. Look, control is something you already possess. Because your focus and emotional response to that focus crates your experiences in life, you always have the power to make changes for the better.

Recently I was examining my calendar of events and seminars I had planned to facilitate this coming year. My inner business expert told me that I should push out a live event and a mastermind program a few months. But my brain could not figure out how to make the shift work with all my other plans. I finally let it go and called my business partner for some advice on the subject. Eva came up with the most perfect idea that never occurred to me from my, “I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE DETAILS RIGHT NOW!”, hour of mental spin cycle.

Your own Inner Guidance will eventually lead you to all the perfect details, but you must trust that all is well in the meantime. This is not about having patience. The key is trusting that you are just fine where you are in the process of the plan or project. Perfection is already present so you don’t have to push or rush for it.

What little details are you spinning about right now that you need to let go?  How can I assist you?

Assumption Junction

Assumption JunctionWe’ve all heard how making an assumption of another person “makes an ass out of you and me.” Yet, people still make assumptions all the time about why a person did or didn’t do something and what they will do in the future. Many of the stories that are made up about people are so far off target but assumptions continue to be made.

You can spend a lot of unproductive time wondering why something happened, especially if you know attraction principles. You assume it was this thought or that thought that created your negative circumstances…again, many times your guesses are far off base.

However, there is great place for assumptions in your life. Assuming that you are going to get exactly what you want leads to consistent results. Assuming that the game of manifestation is never over, even when the rulebook says so, will get you everything you want at any time.

Don't assume…      Assume…
You won't make your financial
goal this month or year.
You will.
Your health will decline as you
get older.
It will improve.
That employees are hard to manage. You will attract the IDEAL team.
That a BIG goal would be a
miracle to achieve.
It's normal for you to achieve it.
That there is not enough time. There is an abundance of time.
You have to do it all by yourself. The Universe has your back.
You have to sacrifice your
own needs for clients.
Your ideal clients will honor you.
You can't afford it. You can and the money will come.
You are stuck in a rut. The time is now for a   breakthrough.

Assumptions are happening hundreds of times a day and you don’t even notice. Make it your practice to tune into your assumptions. See if each one serves you or creates a roadblock. A good assumption keeps the door not only open to possibility but ensures success.

If you think it’s not as easy as this, you’re wrong. But you’ll end up being right if you keep assuming things are hard work or impossible. Catch my drift?

No more excuses. No more yucky assumptions. It’s time for an assumption revolution within you. Assume that you are worthy of all good things and that by you choosing your own rules that feel good, miracles WILL be an everyday occurrence.

Hooked on Money

Hooked on Money“Why?” you ask. “Why does money always seem to be an issue for me?”

Let me soothe your money feathers. It’s an issue for MOST people. Some of you focus on the issue more than others, but if I poke around a bit I can find places of resistance in most people. And this includes myself!

Now, I can name a list of very specific thoughts and beliefs that create the issues with money but it always comes down to a general belief that there will not be enough or you will lose what you have. Even my wealthiest clients experience tension in certain situations from feeling like something with be taken away.

Based on the fact that it’s all about trusting that you will have more than enough, it really won’t serve you to focus on your specific hang ups about money if you want to shift swiftly into abundance. I’ve seen people go from high financial stress to signing whopping contracts in a matter of weeks. Their secret solution was simple.

They purposefully focused on shifting their perspective with money on a daily basis. They did not try to go back in time to where they originally picked up their fearful money thoughts. They started with now. You must acknowledge that it is simply a perspective on money that has kept you hostage. There is no other reason than that for any troubling money thoughts or situations.

Please don’t try to give the excuse of the economy, lack of time, your parent’s upbringing, divorce settlements, lawsuits, crooked business partners or the hundred other reasons that you have issues. They are all irrelevant to making your breakthrough into a pure abundance mentality.

You must focus on the end outcome you desire for your experience with money to shift. The Law of Attraction is always at work and has no attachment to your history. It is only responding to what you are focused on right now. You’ll want to remind yourself that you CAN create a new experience with money and that it is already happening…long before you will see the results, your situation is correcting itself.

You’ll also want to immediately stop any self-destructive actions and habits regarding money. If you spend and stress, you must stop spending so much money or stop stressing when you do. If you blame others for your situation, stop. It’s about you, not them. If you feel like you can’t do anything about your money issues, begin to believe and act like you can. If it were possible for you take control, what would be your first step?

You can’t tackle this money thing for a week and expect to be done with it. It will take some time, focus and practice. It will take some support. But you can do it. I’ve coached many people who believed they’d never turn around their money issues. I’ve had the extreme pleasure of watching them double and triple their incomes, too. Most importantly, I’ve witnessed their transition into peace around money. If they can, you can.

Greed is Great

Greed is GreatOnce upon a time I thought the only way to work my way into heaven was to be kind at all times, always be giving and to sin as little as possible. I’ve changed my perspective drastically over the years, and find it oh-so fun and thrilling.

First of all, I know that if I do what’s in my best interest, I’ll always do the right thing. It’s when I go against my own values or desires that my life gets messed up. And when my life feels bad, everyone who interacts with me is impacted. I see this to be true for others too ... when they follow their own guidance and bliss the world around them benefits.

So let’s talk about greed.

Definition of greed on the web:

excessive desire to acquire or possess more (especially more material wealth) than one needs or deserves.

Oh, please! Can we ditch the old school thinking that does not serve us at all?! I don’t need two servings of dessert but if it’s good, I’m having more. Is that greedy? No! I know what I enjoy. And who decides if I deserve it or not? Oh, I know some of you think that if you exercised and ate “good” all week then you deserve it. BAH!

Everyone deserves to experience their desires. And the only way to do that is by acknowledging that you are worthy of joy. You also must be connected to your inner guidance. You never have to pay your dues or be a responsible human being in order to deserve something.

I wish more people would be greedy. I coach my clients to be more selfish. Most of them are asking for “just enough” to squeak by in the love, money and joy department. In your work or business, it’s time to be honest about what you really want. If you don’t, you begin to harbor resentment and then sabotage yourself or your company. This all happens behind the scenes, as most of you are not aware that you are consciously doing this. All you know is that life is beginning to not feel good.

I used to put my mate's business needs before mine. I would end up getting irritated with him and my own business suffered. When I changed my ways, I began feeling the empowerment of taking my own life into my hands. My profits and level of joy soared immediately.

By the way, get greedy with your time, money, support you desire and anything else that feels good. When you serve yourself up more of what you want, you achieve bliss…which is your purpose in life. Retrain your brain that greed is not a bad word. It only looks ugly when people want to fill themselves up, and hurt others along the way, because they are so disconnected from their hearts. I’m talking about being connected and allowing in every little and big desire you want from a place of empowerment and joy.

The Secret to Engaging Conversation

The Secret to Engaging ConversationCharisma is highly over rated and definitely not needed to have an engaging conversation. I love engaging conversations because they cause you to feel and think in new ways. I don’t always like to be in a conversation, but when I am, I want it to be good.

Good conversation shouldn’t be an intention saved for a dinner party or a hot date. Always decide to have juicy dialogue in business meetings, with clients, potential clients, networking events, seminars
and team meetings. You’ll have a good time and attract opportunities, ideal connections and profits.

Before I go any further, I also want to point out that you don’t have to be an extrovert to create dynamic conversations. Engaging conversations shouldn’t be worked at, they will naturally unfold.

There are only a few things you need to remember to create a juicy dialogue.

Step 1: Spit out what you are pondering.

Our minds are always questioning the nature of reality. We are wondering why things are they way they are or why people do what they do. Usually we keep those thoughts in our heads, but when you say them
out loud the conversation takes new twists and turns. Sometimes, the weirder the better.

Step 2: Be curious about what makes the person in front of you tick.

Why do they work in the industry they do? What cool things are happening in their life? What’s on their bucket list? Where are they going on their next vacation? The answers to these questions give you insight to the person you are engaging with and invite more questions.

Step 3: Challenge a statement or belief.

Challenging another person in a friendly and open way opens up mind exploding conversations. The key is not to create a debate or be aggressive. You are simply being curious about what else is possible. (I’ll explain more in a story below.)

Step 4: Always be authentically you and say what you mean.

If you don’t like where the conversation is going, say so and redirect it where you want to go. If you have a totally opposite perspective on what was just expressed by another person, lay it out on the table. Being fully self-expressed is engaging in and of itself.

Step 5: Don’t play it safe.

Be willing to say something that feels a little daring. Appropriate conversation is not always engaging. There are no limits to what is possible, so go for it. Never hold back unless you are coming from a
place of emotional disconnection.

Last weekend, I went out to dinner with my business partner and our mates. We are all very comfortable with each other’s conversation and silence. We got on the topic of our food server. Some of us thought he was doing a very poor job and should not be tipped well. One person didn’t care either way and another thought you should always tip well no matter the service you received.

This opened up a very intriguing conversation on the topic of tipping and Law of Attraction. Since three out of the four of us teach the Law of Attraction, it was interesting to see that we had different opinions. None of us were wrong since attraction always comes down to how you feel. If you do what feels best to you, you’ll always be in the flow.

But the engaging conversation came from us all participating in an authentic and challenging way. It did get heated, but it also created some new thoughts. We all admitted to having great conversation that
night and clinked our wine glasses together.

Your Plans

Your Plans Are you planning…

•    for disaster?
•    to be broke?
•    to barely be making ends meet?
•    for extreme wealth?
•    to be let down?
•    on someone saving you?
•    for success?
•    for struggle?
•    for ease?

These aren’t trick questions. At first glance you may think that you would never plan for anything but the best outcome. I encourage you to ask yourself again what you are planning for and answer honestly. The answers you come up with for yourself may surprise you once you take a deeper look. I have caught myself many times planning for disaster, being late or for failure when I truly wanted the opposite of that.

How do you know what you are really planning for? Even if you make a plan on paper, you may be planning for something different in your mind. If you find that you’re worried about an outcome, you’re not planning for the best.

Other questions you can ask yourself to see what you are planning for are:

1.    How do you forecast for your finances?
2.    Do you create a business plan each year? If so, do you follow it?
3.    Have you sat down and really given detailed thought to your desired end results?
4.    Are you taking actions that support the desired results?
5.    Do you think about all the worst possible scenarios happening to you and then worry about those thoughts coming true?
6.    Do you plan vacations? If so, do they excite you?
7.    What is your plan for your relationships? Do you plan for ease or struggle?
8.    Do you create daily plans, both for productivity and fun?

You can take the path of struggle, ease, full throttle or up-down, up-down. If you create a plan, even a simple one that honors your values, you will always get there faster than having no plan or a plan with “to-do’s” that feel like “should’s”.

Bottom line: Make a plan that works for you and then implement it. Take actions. Big or small steps-it doesn’t matter. There needs to be room for fun, freedom and inspiration within a plan. In fact, if you create a plan that really works for you, you will be fired up and committed to it. You won’t have to talk yourself into following it…you’ll want to follow it. Make sure the plan isn’t injected with your parents’ voices or your gremlin/ego voice. Make the plan authentically yours and the results will be yours.

Hint: If you find the plan isn’t working, do something about it. Change some of the steps. A plan is meant to give you clarity, direction and focus.

Making Peace With Now

Making Peace With NowOne of the most misunderstood strategies of attraction is surrendering into your current reality. The topic typically comes up when you decide you want to upgrade one aspect of your life and yet you’re stuck facing a reality that you don’t love.

What to do, what to do?

Don’t lie and try to convince yourself that you like what you’re looking at. However, you can stop resisting it. You can also find aspects of your current reality that you can appreciate. It is important that you make peace with current reality, otherwise you won’t be able to shake it loose to upgrade to your next reality.

I’ll use creating more income as an example. If your business currently attracts $3000 a month, yet you need to pull in more than $5000 to pay your business and living expenses, how do you make peace with that?

Here are some suggestions:

•    Appreciate the money you are making.
•    Appreciate that you are paying some of your expenses.
•    Appreciate your current and past clients, customers and patients.
•    Acknowledge that you are in transition, and it takes some time to see results.
•    Acknowledge the courage it takes to own your own business.
•    Get excited about your forthcoming income upgrade.
•    Let go of past mistakes or that you think you should be farther along in the process of generating income.
•    Use this transition time to align your thoughts, beliefs and focus with your intended income outcome.

Soothing your emotions into a place of peace, or at least acceptance, will allow the new beliefs, strategies and ideas to come forth to assist you to upgrade your income.

Give as little attention as possible to the pain of your current financial situation unless you are using it to learn information to create solutions.

There is actually nothing bad about your current reality except the label that you put on it. Don’t see your reality as a big hairy deal, because when you do, it becomes a big hairy deal. I’ve been in deep debt and watched my income go from six figures to under $50,000 in a year. I was beating myself up pretty bad and nothing was shifting.

The first thing I did was to make a decision about upgrading back into six figures. The next step was to make peace with my situation. I had made myself very wrong for allowing my finances to get so low, especially knowing what I know about this topic. I had to let it all go! As soon as I made peace with it all, I felt instant relief. Releasing my resistance opened me up to step back into six figures within nine months.
