No ExcusesYou know how you want more time and money? And what about slimming down or handling that bum knee of yours? You said you wanted to spend more quality time with those you care about, too.

To all of you who want to change something very important in your life, stop making excuses. I know life is busy and it’s challenging to make changes. I know sometimes you don’t see how it’s possible to get around those obvious obstacles. Still, there are no excuses.

You have got to carve out the headspace, quiet time and focus to get yourself headed in the right direction. It will only take you a fraction of the time that you think. It won’t be half as painful as your experience with not enough money, subpar health and relationships that feel difficult. I say do whatever you have to do to create some peace in your life.

Look, if you keep buying into your story about how it’s hard to get that important thing you want or hard to build a business, how can anyone support you? No matter what expertise you receive, or loving energy you are given, you won’t shift because you’ve already made up your mind that it’s hard.

C’mon! It’s hard sitting in your perspective. That’s all. If you shift your perspective you’ll begin to see time expand, you’ll take actions you’ve been resisting for eons and you’ll be happier. You’ll drop a load of pressure off your back. Yes, you’ll have to forgive yourself and others. Yes, you’ll have to stop seeing yourself as a victim of some circumstance. And you’ll have to be focused on where you want to be vs. where you are.

But hey, isn’t that worth making time in your schedule? What about starting out with a few minutes here and there to do the internal work? What if you hired someone to assist you with this important change? What if it was easier than you imagined?

Your Crystal Ball

Your Crystal BallI always thought it would be cool to have the super powers to look in to a crystal ball and see my future. As I grew up I was educated that there was no such thing as a crystal ball. Now I believe there is a way to see into my future.

Anything I can see in my imagination can become my reality. The good, the bad and the ugly. The good news is that I can change my mental picture faster than I can change my underwear! If I want a brighter future I can inject color into the vision I see. If I want more profits in my business I can begin to focus my mind on the vision of me running a wildly successful business.

Sure, I have to do a bit more than just conjuring up a vision in my head. I actually have to believe what I see in my inner crystal ball. I have to trust the nudges and ideas my inner being hands over to me so generously.

But wait, there’s another way to see into your future. Look outside of your head and into your world. You have created everything around you. Some of it is amazingly wonderful and some of it may stink. This shows you what may lie ahead if you don’t change your thoughts, habits and actions. I’m not trying to scare you, it is simply the truth.

If I look into my world and notice that it’s a challenge to pay my bills every month, it’s inevitable that I’ll have more of the same in my future. I have to use the mirror of my life to make new decisions. I have to use the information of my past and current reality so that I can powerfully move forward being intentional about my outcome.

Don’t get mad when you notice something going downhill or not course correcting. Get inspired. Make a change. Make several changes if needed. But they must come from your confident self not the you who fears the worst or feels exerting force is the only answer.

See yourself getting in the win zone and you’ll know what the changes are that need to be made. More than likely some will be the inner work that deals with your emotions and beliefs. And the other changes will be made to your daily habits, conversations and actions. Deal with the inner before dealing with the outer or you’ll have another mess in your crystal ball to clean up.

You have all the power within you to create a future you love. The magic lies within the decision to impact your future. You never need a fortune teller or crystal ball…you already see your future.

24 Hours Well Spent

24 Hours Well Spent One of the most popular coaching topics, besides how to make more money, is how to get more done in a day. Unfortunately, even the best time management tools won’t give you more time each day. This forces you to create a different relationship with time.

My approach to time is a combination of practical tools and structures blended with focusing your spiritual and emotional energy. You must always start with the internal so you may effectively impact your external world.

When you wake up the morning, you decide what kind of day you’re going to have. Will it be a good, grumpy, fun, rushed, peaceful, productive or an adventure? It’s your choice from the get go.

Disregard the urge to plow into your day full force. Create one or more morning practices to get grounded and focused.

Here are some practices that I’ve seen work wonders:

  • Going for a walk, run, workout, row, yoga or another form of mind-body connection
  • Journaling or automatic writing or morning pages where you just dump what’s in your head onto paper
  • Meditation or doing a guided visualization
  • Looking at your vision board
  • Connecting to your yearly, monthly and weekly goals
  • Sipping a cup of joe or tea while reading something pleasant or enjoying the view

Once you feel like you can powerfully move forward in a calm manner, it’s time to set your intentions for the day. This is how you leverage the power of attraction. If you start your day without doing this, you are asking for a day you look back on and say, “Where did my day go?” or “This day went from bad to worse”.

It is important to only choose a handful of actions you want to complete each day. Decide what will feel most fulfilling to complete and you’ll enjoy doing it. It is equally important to choose how you want to feel during each thing you do. If there is something you must complete because of a deadline, decide that it will be easy to complete.

Focus is the name of the game. Give yourself completely to whatever you are doing in any given moment. You’ll experience more peace and you’ll actually get more done than multi-tasking.

You can experience the feeling of time expanding when you stay present to the moment and are very clear that what needs to get done, will be done. Whatever doesn’t get done is fine. If you beat yourself over what didn’t get done then you are asking for misery. This life is meant to be enjoyed not to be a productivity master. But if you are clear about your intentions and find flow in your day, you can experience joy and complete many goals.

I always ask myself if what I’ve chosen to do for the day will move me toward what I want and if it will make me happy. Whatever you choose to do for the day, get behind it. No regrets. You have another clean slate tomorrow.

Up Your Money Vibe

Up Your Money VibeI’ll admit, it’s easy to get caught up in the magical miracle ways you can make money fast. “If you do X in your business, you can make millions” is the message coming from all directions. "If you sign up for this class or that ecourse you can make six figures" is another neon sign coming at you via the internet.

While certain strategies, investment opportunities and niches do produce results, it’s all about how you resonate with that particular thing that makes it successful or not. Your money vibe is the thing that is in control of your income rising or falling. Your money vibe is what makes you collide with good deals, fast sales and all around good luck.

Except it’s not luck. It’s planned.

Intentionally changing your relationship with money has everything to do with how you relate to it. This in turn creates a high frequency when you think about money and literally draws it to you like a magnet. The term magnetizing money is highly over used and yet it is indeed what is happening.

All you have to do to change your money vibe is make a decision today that you will relate to money with excitement. I tell my clients to act like a six or seven figure CEO. You must act like you know what you are doing - like someone who earns lots of money and is used to it - and have fun in your creation of more money.

How the heck do you do this if you’ve been on consistent struggle with money? Let the reins go. Quit whining, complaining, feeling victim, trying too hard and all that crappy stuff you do when it comes to money. And quit being cheap when it would serve you better to invest in quality. Stop saying you can’t afford things…because you are creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

When you see something you want, decide you will have it, even if you don’t have the means in this moment. Whenever you decide you want something, I mean REALLY decide, you will find the means to do it. And it won’t be from raiding the piggy bank. Although it could be. It’s all your choice.

The other sure fire way to raise your money vibe is to raise your vibe in general. Do stuff that is fun and reminds you that life is an adventure to be enjoyed. I went to my family’s vacation home for five days over the holidays and I came home to several new sales that were unexpected. Going to the movies, reading good books, connecting with friends and gardening are great, too.

When I go for my daily walk, I tell my son to look at the trees because money grows on them. He doesn’t know what I’m talking about it but it raises my vibe to envision that money is all around me and easily accessible. Therefore it is.

Don’t Worry About the Details

DonGÇÖt Worry About the DetailsHave you ever got spun up trying to figure out the details of a project and found yourself stuck because some of the details simply didn’t present themselves? I have, and more than once. I’ve also ruined joyous vacation planning by wondering how to figure out everything before my arrival.

Sometimes the only way to get the details is to stop trying to figure out the details. Yep, you just have to be satisfied with knowing the general outcome you’d like to achieve or experience. The details will unveil themselves as you relax and move forward with the pieces of the puzzle that you already have in your possession.

Speaking from experience, this whole riddle about “attracting” the details can be quite painful unless you relinquish control. I have learned some powerful lessons about trying to control all the pieces of my business, my vacations and the relationships I hold most dear. Whenever I find myself forcing things to happen, nothing goes well. My body pays the price as well with tight muscles, colds, hives and a host of other temporary ailments.

The little Gremlin that lives inside of all of us will try to convince you that you are being responsible by paying attention to all of the details and making sure you follow through on everything you think is “right”. Look, control is something you already possess. Because your focus and emotional response to that focus crates your experiences in life, you always have the power to make changes for the better.

Recently I was examining my calendar of events and seminars I had planned to facilitate this coming year. My inner business expert told me that I should push out a live event and a mastermind program a few months. But my brain could not figure out how to make the shift work with all my other plans. I finally let it go and called my business partner for some advice on the subject. Eva came up with the most perfect idea that never occurred to me from my, “I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT THE DETAILS RIGHT NOW!”, hour of mental spin cycle.

Your own Inner Guidance will eventually lead you to all the perfect details, but you must trust that all is well in the meantime. This is not about having patience. The key is trusting that you are just fine where you are in the process of the plan or project. Perfection is already present so you don’t have to push or rush for it.

Year End Wrap Up

Year End Wrap UpThe end of the year can either be one of the most relaxing times of the year or hectic. Sometimes it’s a little of both. The preparation for the holidays and travel are only a part of the year end priorities.

The end of the year is a good time for reflection on what has been and what you’d like to create for the coming year. I know many of you plan to create your goal list for the new year sometime soon, but then find yourself buried in the “to-do’s” of the current time and reality.

It’s also easy to put off creating your plan for the coming year because it brings up the painful reality of the goals you did not manifest in the year past. I’m hear to tell you, “Let the year end wrap up be EASY BREEZY!”

So what that you didn’t nail everything on your wish list for the year?! If you’re like me, you’re very ambitious when you make your goal list in the beginning of the year. You think this will be the year that you accomplish more than ever. And that might be true. But face it, you get inspired to take action in different directions as the year moves on. Some projects are more complicated or time consuming than you planned.

It’s ALL normal. What is most important is that you enjoy each thing that you take action toward in the moment, not worrying about all the unfinished business you have.

I invite you to appreciate anything you did accomplish on your goal list of 2010. If you accomplished nothing then appreciate the clarity and lessons learned from your experience. You can take those forward as you plan for the coming year.

When I create my plan for the year I keep it simple and make sure it all fits on one page. More than one page feels like waaaay too much to do in a year. I urge my clients to create a HELL YES plan each year. I’ve created a simple process that ensures success. The most important factor of this plan is that you love every little thing on it.

The plan isn’t written in permanent ink. You can change it anytime you feel inspired during the year. I am a big believer in creating the plan now. Don’t wait until a few months into the year. Think of this plan as your order form to the Universe. As soon as you write it, the Universe can begin to line up the resources, people and ideas for you to manifest it.

Be mindful not to let reality spoil the magic of creating your plan. Two years in a row I had “House on the water” on my HELL YES Plan. Reality told me that not many waterfront homes went on the market and when they do they are well over the million dollar price tag. Reality said I wasn’t financially ready to buy a two million dollar home.

Luckily, I knew the Universe always supports my decisions. I decided to buy a house last year and refused to look at anything under $550,000. I looked at anything that promoted having a water view. The house we bought was under $400,000 and had the BEST view of any home I’d previously looked at, even in the million dollar range.

Sure we spent money remodeling over the last year but the point is, I got the dream house when reality said, “No way, Jose!” The Universe gave me even more than I imagined when it came to this property. So, don’t you let money, time or any other circumstance limit what you put on that plan.

Go BIG. The only thing you must remember is that you are worthy of any goal you put on that plan. Make the decision that it will be yours, and you will be golden.
