I remember the exact moment my current coaching format popped into my head.
 

I was doing a visualization during my second workshop at the Coaches Training Institute. I clearly saw myself coaching ten clients at $1,000 a month. I was working in depth with these clients and loving how much time I could offer them.

But I didn’t live into that ideal vision until several years later. In fact, I forgot all about that vision the day after I had it.

I was very focused on getting clients in the door when I first began my business.

Soon I had sixteen one-on-one clients, plus I taught live workshops every month and teleclasses every week. My fees were $350 a month for coaching—the same as most coaches during that time.

But I wasn’t enjoying the process. I was interacting with too many people and mixing up their stories in my head.

It was through that stress that my coaching fantasy came out from hiding. It whispered, “Ten clients at $1,000 each. Unlimited access to you.” I made a decision to go for it and felt instant excitement.

It took some courage, but I began taking on new clients in the new format at the new fee. I’ve been doing it now the same way for over two decades. Living into my fantasy allowed me to easily move into six figures.

How?

I was so ecstatic to work more deeply with my clients. It became more fun. I was more relaxed. My whole vibe changed. Therefore, I attracted more ideal clients.

Because I changed, my clients upgraded their results through working with me.

Remember, your ideal clients want what you love to offer. The more authentic you are when you deliver your products, programs, and services… the more ideal clients and customers show up to invest.

When you resent any part of your business, you create a barrier between you and your ideal peeps. Without knowing it, you become a Debbie Downer.

  • Change your target market?
  • Offer a fabulous product or edgy service?
  • Work more hours?
  • Work less?
  • Work in exotic locations? (One of my personal favorites.)
  • Create a spacious schedule?
  • Work with a rock star mentor?
  • Do a joint venture with someone you admire?
  • Write your book?

If you want to increase your profits and be happier, begin taking inspired action toward living one of your business dreams. Get the energy in motion. And don’t be put off if a roadblock appears.

Many years back, I had a fantasy to put my Speed Dial Journal on a mobile app. When I first began researching iPhone apps, I was getting quoted $5,000–$10,000 to create it. I didn’t want to spend that much. I shared this with my bestie, Eva Gregory, and she told me about a colleague offering to create an app at a fraction of my prior quotes. This company even improved upon the idea I brought them. They also made the process easy.

From there, I upgraded to a better platform… and we’re about to do it again, so it’s completely out of the Google and Apple stores. I want a 5-star app that isn’t a money pit!

Another benefit of living one of your dreams is that it always leads to improvement in other areas of your business. Because of the information included in my app, I had to redo several pages on my website and reaped 10x the results.

Taking action on one of your biggest biz fantasies will breathe new energy into your business. Take one step today. That one step will lead you to the next step.
