What's Stopping You from Attracting the Business You Want?

"What's stopping you from having the business you want?" Patsi, from The Blog Squad asked me.  I didn't know how to answer.  My business is doing better than it ever has and I love my clients and teleclass participants.  So, what's my issue?

I know what is possible in terms of profits!  I know what is possible when I leverage my time. My business systems are in place.  My blog could use some attention, though!  I just want more sales.

The only answer I can come up with is that my vibration (beliefs) are lined up with even more money...yet!  If they were, I'd be in the seven digit income range...because it is totally possible with my business.  I wouldn't even have to spend more time working.  It's simply about attracting more customers to what I already have going.  Okay, time to go get aligned!

Stop telling negative stories & gossip

When you catch yourself repeating negative stories, ask yourself the following questions:

What I am wanting from telling this story?
What will be the impact on the person I am talking to?
What will be the impact on the person or circumstance I’m talking about?
How does it feel to be telling this story?
If I could get any result I wanted out of this situation or conflict what would it be?
What are two or more positive actions I can take to turn this situation around?
Is this how I want to spend my time with the person I am talking to?

These questions will support you in stepping fully into your power. 

I am a big advocate of telling a story for the sake of creating a solution or to shift your energy by getting a different perspective.  If you simply need to vent, let the person you are talking to know that you are venting.  Five to ten minutes is usually enough time to get out a good emotional dump.  Anymore time and you are just getting into rehashing all the little details. 

Remember: Law of Attraction gives you more of what you focus on.  Focus most of your time on the good stuff!

Stop doing your business backwards!

I want to address the root issues I see in almost every client and workshop participant I've worked with over the decades.  They are trying to build their business by muscling it into place.  They rack their brains for all the right moves and put them into place as fast as possible.

Next, they fret that the money is not coming fast enough.  They assume it was their strategies that didn't work.  Wrong!  It's what's going on behind the curtain of their mind that isn't working.  Your thinking impacts every decision, action and your attraction factor.

Business owners are not seeking peace first. They haven’t designed their business in a way that truly satisfies all of their needs.  They work too hard with results that are less than thrilling.  They resist, they react and have trouble being consistent with their top priorities.

The key to pumping up peace, preferences and profits is to be intentional.  Business owners must make solid decisions about what they want and course correct when they go off track.

Beginning Steps to Increase Your Peace, Preferences & Profits

You must debunk ALL myths about business in order to have different results.  It is not complicated.  Getting yourself to trust the process can be a little unnerving, although it doesn’t have to be. Still, many of you would rather cling to what is familiar even if it’s not working.  Stop that!  ;-)

#1 – Know what your stake in the ground is for your business.
  What is your compelling vision? For the sake of what are you in business?  What will drive you forward?

#2 – Make decisions about your business.  A decision is concrete. You’re declaring how it will be.  This is not a wish, hope or a thing you will try to do.

#3 – Look at problems as an opportunity for improvement in your systems, processes and people.  Anytime there is a breakdown in customer service I put a new system in place to ensure it never happens again.  I do not dwell on the customer being irritated, but taking the actions to resolve.

#4 – Use your inner guidance/intuition.  Fear based thoughts are not from your gut.  When I say use your intuition, act like it is a mentor that you make requests of.  Be silent and take the time to formulate a question and then HEAR the answer.

# 5 – Practicing your daily success habits are more important than getting 100 things done.  Quality over quantity.  If you do not have a grounded and focused agenda you will not get the results you want.  You can take ALL the massive marketing actions you want and if your head is not in the right place, your peace and profits will not increase.  It’s similar to people who diet but still focus on being fat…they never keep the weight off.

#6 - Get out of the way.  You are the only thing standing between experiencing joy and extreme prosperity in your business.  It’s your thinking.  Thinking generates actions.  Change your fears into fuel to grow your business in all the bet ways for YOU.

# 7 - Believe in/know the value of your product and/or service.  Be rock solid about it.  You’ll always create the perfect price points for your perfect customers with this belief in your business. You will be a client magnet!

# 8 – Know your worth.  It’s got to be okay to have a lot of income and not be killing yourself in the process.  No guilt, justifying or shame.  Believe that is normal to experience extreme prosperity as your financial set point.  Don’t see big amounts of money as a big deal or a “miracle”.

Take BIG steps to Wealth

Playing BIG means going for what you really want.  You no longer just shoot for something that would be better than where you are now, but you go for the BIG dream.  It’s the difference between a sufficient cash flow that covers your expenses with some left over and a cash flow that supports your “ultimate” lifestyle.  Why would you settle for a goal that is “O.K.” when it takes the same amount of focus and effort to go for goals that completely fulfill your dreams?  It’s actually easier to go BIG. 

When you let go of your fears there is no resistance. You let the flow take you down the stream rather than fighting to make progress paddling against the current.  Your action steps can be small as long as your outcome is your true desire.  Lateral moves just give you more of the same.  Make upward moves.  Once you make the decision, don’t look back unless it’s to acknowledge how much progress you’ve made.  If you question your decision, fear will set in.  It will be a bit uncomfortable at first but soon it will be quite normal to take large leaps.

Are You Ready To Recession-Proof Your Business?

At Coaching from Spirit, we believe that one of the most important keys for succeeding in business is to be able to connect with your inner guidance.  And you are able to connect to this guidance through what we call energy management. 

There are two levels of energy management that can provide us with guidance.

One is to really be able to connect with your inner guidance, that Source Energy, call it God, Spirit, or whatever term feels comfortable for you.   I am talking about being able to really consciously tap into this connection.  And when we do that we have unlimited potential.  Most of us that are creating or running a business never think about tapping into that higher energy source.  We don’t make the connection that this energy source could help us be more successful.  This hasn’t been taught at business schools yet.

This energy source operates at a very high level of frequency.  To be able to consciously tap into this potential you have to be operating at a similar frequency.  So, when we measure thoughts like love and peace and how to serve others, they are at a very high frequency and thoughts of anger, frustration and overwhelm are lower level thoughts.  When we’re in those higher vibrational frequencies, we have a direct opening to that inner connection, our Source Energy.  I call it your Inner Coach, your Inner Team, which seems more welcoming to me.

The second part of energy management is one of the most exciting things I share with people who are in business or who want to get into a business.  You actually have the ability to manage your emotional energy, simply by managing your thoughts and feelings. 

Let’s talk about what makes Coaching From Spirit programs really unique.   We really model the process of connecting in with your inner guidance in what we call an activation. 

An activation call is where you will get on the phone with a specially trained coach who takes you through a coaching oriented process to help you identify, really feel and surface up what’s really been holding you back energetically.  And then they help you activate more of what wants to be activated in you at an energy level.  It’s an energy experience.  That’s why we call it an activation.  It’s not just our sales contact or what many call a strategy session.

This is really an energetic experience that you will benefit from simply by experiencing the activation.  The coach’s role is to really see and feel you, as you want to be.  They don’t buy into any of the limitations you may have activated.  Their goal is to hold the energy for you – to really see and feel you, as you want to be.  This creates an opening for you to activate that energy in your energy field in a much more of a powerful way so you can actually begin to experience more of this belief for yourself.    In these calls, they also help you understand what we do in our program, the Advanced Spiritual Business Building Program, by giving you a formula for managing your energy.

The first element of the formula for energy management is for you to learn how to make a connection to your inner guidance in a tangible way.  This helps you to move past your ego and connect in with that higher presence.  You can then literally partner with this presence in your business so that you are truly serving others.  This allows you to feel like you are not doing your business all by yourself.  And then you are constantly and easily connecting to the exact perfect people and circumstances to help you.  And situations can easily show up as you are connecting into this higher frequency more often. 

The second element is for you to have a tangible structured process to be able to effective in managing your energies of your thoughts and feelings. This helps you be in those higher frequency ranges more often so you can attract more of what you want.  This gives you a way to change your neural pathways, to shift your thoughts and beliefs so you can begin to think differently. 

We have the responsibility to manage what I call our vibrational output.  And our vibrational output is really those dominant patterns of what we’re thinking and feeling.  We’ve got an opportunity to manage that and be more effective in managing the voice inside our head so that we’re more aligned with what we do want instead of what we don’t want. 

The activation process is about modeling that experience, so that you really feel that connection to your inner guidance during the activation session.  This will also help you feel and understand the process of what we’re doing in the Advanced Spiritual Business Building Program.

In the activation call, we model for you the energy management processes, guiding you to connect to your inner guidance in a very structured process.  This will allow you to have a tangible experience of the energy management process. And this will show you how to change your neural pathways in ways that you can really track and measure.

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE

With permission, I’m posting this great article from Robin Sieger.  Like me, he skydives and relates his story back to lessons in Law of Attraction.  Enjoy!

One of the things I do that surprises everyone is skydiving! I’m one of those people who strap some material to his back, go up to twelve and a half thousand feet in an airplane, and then jumps out! Are you?

Skydiving is one of my hobbies. It’s a sport that only makes the headlines when someone tragically dies. There is a huge range of people from many different backgrounds who share the desire to experience human flight. Skydiving is a high-risk sport. The consequences of things going wrong can result in serious injury or death.

If I miss a putt at golf, the worst that can happen to me is I have to pay my opponent. If I make a mistake in skydiving, the consequences are much more serious!

But all skydivers focus on the positive. They’re aware of the possibility of what might happen, but don’t dwell on it.

All the skydivers I know are a very safety conscious (me included). Because they’re aware of the risks, they maintain their equipment, practice emergency procedures before every jump, and plan the dive and dive the plan. Everything they do is designed to eliminate unnecessary risk. As a result of their preparation, they can enjoy the experience.

When I tell people I skydive, they either tell me it is something they would love to do, or something they would never do. They often tell me about an accident they read about, or ask if I have ever had my parachute not open. Their response more often than not relates to the fear aspect of skydiving, which every skydiver has experienced, but learned to manage and overcome, yet not ignore.

When people ask me about skydiving, they never ask me about the exhilaration of the experience. They always ask me if I’m scared. They concentrate on all of the negative things that might happen, rather than the positive things.

Now as it happens I did have one very bad experience and it had an affect on me. I went through a period after a bad jump where, despite the fact that I had jumped from a plane more than 140 times and nothing had happened, all I could think about was this one bad experience. All I could do was think about the dangers. (The fact that I had over 140+ jumps at the time didn’t seem to comfort me, and I ignored the evidence and concentrated my thoughts on the bad jump.)

The more I thought about it, the more scared I became about the next jump until I realized what was happening. I finally got a grip on my negative thinking and focussed on the positive. And two days later I went back up and jumped again with strong positive images and thoughts.

The history of self-help and personal development has one guiding principle above all others: You create negative outcomes though negative thinking just as you create positive outcomes through the use of positive thinking.

Above all, it is the powerful outcomes that you create through the use of positive thinking. To overcome your fears, you must stop feeding them. You must grow your confidence and courage and build it in the process.

For me, it’s perfectly summed up in the this story: The young Indian said to his father who was the chief of the tribe “In my heart are two wolves fighting for control. Which one will win?” His father replied, “Son, the one you feed the most”.
